Teacher education is the heart and soul of what we do

The Curry School produces well-prepared, effective teachers — teachers whose knowledge of content and pedagogy is tested and informed by classroom experience. Teachers who can make a real difference in kids' lives.

Yet Curry's influence on the nation's education system reaches much further than the individual classrooms of our graduates. In 2001 Curry received a competitive grant in a groundbreaking program called Teachers for a New Era. A number of impressive innovations in teacher preparation were engendered by this initiative, positioning Curry to maintain its role as a contemporary national model for the preparation and support of beginning professional teachers.
