For the Future of the Curry School: Bequest CampaignAlong with its ambitious campaign to raise $3 billion in private resources, the University of Virginia has set a goal for $400 million in future support through estate gifts. The Curry School of Education joins the University in its Bequest Campaign with a $7.5 million objective. Gifts from the estates of our alumni, parents, and friends have always been an important source of support to the Curry School. Education professionals often give what they can during their lifetimes, but their most significant impact comes with a thoughtful bequest to the School. These deferred gifts enable the Curry School to plan for the future with confidence, recognizing that resources will be available to achieve long-range goals. You can play a vital role in the Curry School’s success by establishing a bequest in your will or trust. Your bequest may be designated for a specific purpose such as an endowed fund for a scholarship, fellowship, or faculty chair or may be left unrestricted to allow the Curry School to direct funds where the need is greatest. By communicating your plans to the university you will ensure that your philanthropic goals are met. Please let us know your intentions when you name the Curry School Foundation as a beneficiary of your estate. Estate gifts from retirement plans, wills, living trusts, and insurance policies are only a few of the gift planning options available.
