South Lawn Project – Phase I – $105.0M

The South Lawn Project extends the architectural vision of Thomas Jefferson by creating a carefully orchestrated ensemble of classrooms, common spaces, and landscape elements south of Jefferson’s historic Lawn. more >

Arts & Sciences Research Building – $88.9M

The Arts & Sciences Research Building is a key component of the science and technology initiative and will be an important resource to attract and retain faculty and students in the sciences. more >

Arts Grounds

To address issues of insufficient teaching and rehearsal space and limited performance venues, the University has developed an overall plan for the Arts Grounds, encompassing new, expanded, and renovated structures for the fine and performing arts. more >

Virginia Athletics Foundation

John Paul Jones Arena – $129.8M

John Paul Jones Arena enables the University to attract top basketball talent and to improve the quality of services provided to all student-athletes. Construction was completed in summer 2006 on the multi-purpose facility that seats 15,000. more >

Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy

Garrett Hall – $14.0M

Housed in Varsity Hall, the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy is projected to outgrow its current quarters. Renovation of Garrett Hall will allow the new school to occupy a larger, more centrally located space on the Grounds. more >

Curry School of Education

Bavaro Hall – $37.4M

At 65,000 square feet, the four-story Bavaro Hall nearly doubles the space currently available to the Curry School. Bavaro Hall is currently under construction in the space between Ruffner Hall and Emmet Street. more >

School of Engineering and Applied Science

Wilsdorf Hall – $43.0M

Wilsdorf Hall is a state-of-the-art facility designed and built to foster collaborative research in nanotechnology, chemical engineering, and materials science and engineering. more >

Information Technology Engineering Building – $76.3M

As the future hub of information technology engineering (ITE) at the University, the ITE Building will serve collaborative researchers throughout the Engineering School and across the Grounds. more >

Health System

Creating powerful new models for patient care, education, and research requires facilities designed for these innovations. New buildings will house state-of-the-art cancer care and consolidated children's outpatient services. Additional buildings for medical and nursing education and two new research facilities will help us build the future. more >

McIntire School of Commerce

Rouss Hall and Robertson Hall – $70.6M

With the "Back to the Lawn" project, the McIntire School created a new academic complex, integrating the complete renovation of Rouss Hall with the construction of an adjoining building, Robertson Hall. more >
